ENCOUNTER ASIA 2011

In March and April of 2011, Encounter Generation and the band Burnt Offering had the privilege of traveling to the Philippines for Encounter Asia 2011. Below is the story God wrote.

It is hard to put into words what God did during Encounter Asia 2011. We were able to partner with a leaders’ conference in a least-reached area of India, and the reports are that it went very well. We were also able to resource several people with Bibles who needed them in that region.

In the Philippines, we partnered with the Filipino-led Project Acts Mission Challenge to hold a youth camp and two Encounter community events.

We are grateful and excited because around 300 beautiful people received Jesus as their Savior and Leader according to the pastors there. More than 20 young people responded to a call to study for ministry. We witnessed a growing passion for true worship among young people. We had the opportunity to pour into several leaders, to resource 300 to 400 people with a devotional book we developed called Encounter, to feed several families from a squatter area, to have the Marion, VA-based band Burnt Offering there, plus so much more…And as usual, these amazing people blessed us far more than we could have dreamed of trying to bless them. Thank you for your prayers, your support and your interest in EG as we passionately pray and work to see a generation awakening through encounters with Jesus Christ.
